Do we ship internationally? 

Of Course! We ship all products worldwide. However, we do not offer expedited shipping. Additionally, we do not cover import taxes/fees. 

Do Airlines allow the Tahquitz to be carried as a Carry On?

Absolutely! We have traveled all over the world and have never had a problem bringing the packs onboard. In terms of how much room do they take up is all dependent on how full the bag has been packed and also specific to the airline which you are flying (we encourage you to check the airlines page just in case). The side zip makes it incredibly easy to access those needed items in the bottom of the bag when you are traveling. Please note that some airlines have different regulations/restriction so we always suggest checking your airlines website for details before leaving for your trip!

What's a good size for me?

The 35L can be used anywhere from a large daypack to a hiking pack incredibly well. We've taken the 40L Tahquitz on 20+ mile hikes on North Dome in Yosemite, traveling around Vietnam, and recently tested it in the backcountry as we skied some summits in the Eastern Sierra. It's been the perfect in-between size. Jeff our Co-Founder is 6ft 1 and about 170lbs and the 35L in size is just just about to the limit of the frame size for an individual we would suggest the 35L to.

Is the Bag Waterproof?

The Cabrillo is 100% waterproof as all its seams are taped. The Tahquitz is extremely WEATHERPROOF with a PU Coated Cordura Nylon and Waterproof YKK Zippers. We recently took it to Iceland where we hiked with it for 6 hours in the rain and all of the contents inside were completely dry and safe.


Warranty

At BE Outfitter we’ve developed a high standard for quality and innovation in response to our own struggles and misfortunes with malfunctioning gear. We pride ourselves on our craft and have worked diligently to ensure that our products meet that level of performance for our consumers.  As such, we issue a Lifetime Warranty against defects of the handmanship and materials of our goods. Our warranty does not provide coverage for negligence, accidents, or excessive wear and tear. However if a product does fail due to a manufacturing defect we will replace it or do our best to repair it.  You’re adventure should only stop when you do, not because of your gear.


Returns

For Quality Returns

While we stand behind the value of our products, we understand that sometimes they aren’t for everyone. If for some reason you are unsatisfied with an order you can return it unused within 30 days.

For Exchanges and Defective Returns

If you wish to exchange for another product return the order unused within the first 30 days. For a defective product return at your earliest convenience. Once we’ve received and reviewed the order we will issue the credit with the additional cost of shipping so you don’t have to pay for shipping twice.

Steps for sending a Return

Step 1: Contact us regarding reasons for the return so we review the case and gather feedback

Step 2: We will generate a return label that will be sent by email. (Payment of shipping for returns and exchanges will be assessed based on the case). Depending on payment method the refund could take 5-7 business days.

Step 3. Once the order is received and reviewed the refund or credit for exchange will be issued. 

If you choose to not use the generated return shipping label provided by BE Outfitter the charge of shipping will be your responsibility.

Kickstarter and Indiegogo Return Policy

We do not offer refunds for Kickstarter and Indiegogo Rewards.  Money raised through these platforms are regarded as “contributions” because they support projects and enable them to come to life. We are proud to be funded by crowdfunding because it allows us to gather feedback and innovate new ideas directly from the individuals that back us. By issuing refunds we could run the risk of failing to deliver to the proud people that have pledged to our success.

If for some reason you are dissatisfied with your reward here’s what we suggest:

  1. Try exchanging sizes. For example our 40L Tahquitz may be slightly too large for your day-to-day adventures, in which case we suggest bumping down to the 35L or vice versa.
  2. We partner with Outdoor Outreach. They are a non-profit that connect underprivileged youth with the outdoors to help them lead successful lives. Contact us and we’ll forward you along to someone that can accept your donation.
  3. Offer your reward to a family member or a friend as a gift or for them to purchase.

Carrier Lost Package Once Delivered Policy

Be Outfitter is not held responsible for any delivered packages that are stolen or lost. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the shipping location provided is in a safe and or gated location. If any packages are shown as properly delivered by the carrier however, are not received by customer, it is customers responsibility to the contact carrier as well as pay full price for a replacement if desired. No refunds will be issued.
